for those of you who don't have a lisp... read the title as if you did.

& if you already do have a lisp... then yeah just do how you do lol

but if you're still confused *rolls eyes jokingly*... the title essentially says #get #off #your #ass!!!

~ so getting to the point of this blog post ~

I woke up today in a pretty jocund mood. I had an 8am (which to this day I still wonder what ever possessed me to choose a class that early... especially because it's a grammar class like??? but anyway..) & due to me having to shower, pick out an outfit (which I usually end up changing at least 3 times), do my hair, and my makeup, I woke up at 5:30.

as a habitual procrastinator, I usually press snooze until like 6:10 or so. but today, I went about things a little differently.

I only pressed snooze once, so I got up & out of bed around 5:40. I wasn't lethargic or dreading having to go to class, either.

so because of this, my morning was off to an EXCELLENT start. I thanked God for waking me up then began my getting-ready-for-class routine.

& then I had an epiphany.

~[(((I needa go to tiffany's... fendi on my slippers & my cookies always slippery...)))]~

last night, I attended a natural hair symposium & there was a booth selling crystals. as someone who once upon a time kept a lucky rock with me in elementary school, once I got older & discovered that certain stones & crystals hold certain powers I was very much intrigued. I ended up buying an amethyst & a carnelian.

so by purchasing two power crystals (& I am specifically using the term "power crystals" because both of them are featured in judy hall's book, '101 power crystals'), I took it upon myself to incorporate the crystals into my daily morning routine.

& my ritual is nothing too complex; I just speak positive affirmations over myself then tap myself from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet with the oil.

for the crystal ritual, I held my amethyst on my crown then moved it to my forehead. I held my carnelian in my sacral region then I prayed that God would continue to bless me, protect me, grant me with wisdom, joy, & the ability to grow as an individual.

then I left my apartment.

dog...

I had a fantabulous day.

I found inspiration in the most random things. only paid $2 for a whole, husky ass japanese food platter that normally would have been $6.25. constantly felt creative energy & motivation. I dressed colorful so it could match my mood for the day. got a lot of compliments. thought of a blog post idea then actually started & finished it (this post, to be exact) rather than continue to stack up my drafts for who knows what.

I believe that everything happens for a reason, & that God sends you places & orders you to do things for a divine purpose.

I was meant to purchase those crystals & utilize them to boost me to get off my ass so I can actually do something!

attaining the motivation to complete the tasks I start has always been a weakness of mine. & lately I have been asking God a lot to help me break those chains... the chains of stagnancy & procrastination.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who has/had this problem. we all get a little lazy sometimes -- some more than others -- but if you're reading this & you feel like you've been needing that push to finally get off your ass & do that certain thing... this is your wake up call.

life is lit like bic when you actually do valuable stuff with it.

your dreams deserve to be manifested into reality. stop putting them on the back burner just because you don't "feel like it."

I believe in you.

just get up, yo.

take that leap of faith.

shoot your shot.

make #yolo your new texting signature.

that's all I gotta say.

have a blessed day :) xoxo
